Quality Engineer.

Exalt Recruitment are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Quality Manager. Supported by the Quality department, successful candidate will lead cross functional team and provide inspection and root cause analysis support to manufacturing. He or she will conduct internal audit compliance and implement corrective action and prevention programs.

Ideal Candidate.

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification with at least 2 years of Quality experience.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Must be highly analytical and able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, IATF16949
  • Knowledge of SPC and Statistical Fundamentals.
  • Familiar with geometric dimensioning, tolerance, and measurement.
  • Green Belt certification is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers, employees, and management at various levels within the organisation.

Main Responsibilities.

  • Lead and drive cross-functional teams dealing with non-conformances in manufacturing.
  • Development of Control Plans, and inspection sheets, in line with core tool employment
  • Development, revision and controlled release of Work Instructions within the QMS.
  • Ensure the Control plans are followed and documented in production areas.
  • Support the process validation of new processes/equipment.
  • Plan and execution of MSA studies on measurement equipment.
  • Support internal Audit Procedures, planning, execution, follow up and documentation.
  • Identify and develop continuous improvement opportunities within QMS and production processes.
  • Participate in and execute all system and assigned tasks including NPDP, Change Management and PPAP Process (including the documenting of customer PPAP submissions).
  • Timely communication of issues, non-conformities or otherwise, to supervisors and management.
  • Maintenance of processes auditable to IATF16949
  • Reduction in internal cost of poor quality, non-conformances, and issue recurrence.
  • Accurate and thorough completion of all documentation and quality engineering projects.
  • Provide training and support to all employees to ensure compliance with SOPs
